Now that we have finished shooting, we have decided to take on different roles in post production. The reason for is so that we can all focus on individual things and make up the final bit of the music campaign in separate sections, and then link them all together. The different roles are editor, digipak designer and social media operators (two people for two different social medias).
Editing:
The role of editing has been assigned to Adrianna. This was for many reasons. Firstly, she wanted to do the editing the most out of everyone in the group, and secondly she had the most experience in this field and so would do the best job at editing our music video. This role essentially means that she has to link together the best of the footage from the shoot day into a watchable, finished music video.
Digipak designer:
Georgie has been assigned the role of our digipak designer. Again, this was for many reasons. Firstly, last year when we all designed digipaks, we all remembered being very impressed by Georgie's album artwork and so she was clearly best suited for the job. Also, she really was keen on doing the artwork for the album and so it all worked out well. This role is quite self-explanatory. It gives Georgie the responsibility of designing the whole digipak for the our bands album. Here are a couple of examples of digipaks.
Social Media:
The social media has been assigned to Tegan and I. This role takes two people to run, and the reasoning is because we are going to have two different social media platforms that our band is set up on, and Tegan and I can take one each. The two social media platforms that we are going to put our band on are Twitter and Instagram. I would rather have the role of instagram, as I am more used to it and when I did my social media research I found it easier and I used Instagram in a lot more depth than I did with twitter, however I do welcome the opportunity to get better at using Twitter if Tegan would rather use Instagram. I am looking forward to using the knowledge that I gained from the social media research, and applying it to our bands social medias.
